Originally built as a place for journalists and ice hockey players to stay during the 1992 Albertville Olympics, the lovely ski resort of La Tania has evolved into one of the Three Valleys' best-loved locations, with a host of excellent chalets. La Tania is well situated in the heart of the Courchevel region in the east of France, and has become a renowned family friendly destination for winter sports enthusiasts.
The centre of the village has retained the small neighbourhood feeling and is completely traffic free, making it perfect for strolling to and from the chalets. Skiing For the Whole Family

For first time skiers or those who want to improve their skills, the resort's five ski schools can teach beginners of all ages everything from the very basics to advanced techniques.
Dog sledding
One of the most memorable ways to get around snow-covered areas is to travel by dog sled. Being pulled across the snow and ice by a team of willing huskies is certainly something different and a pretty cool way to explore the area around your chalets. La Tania is the perfect place for this activity and it's something the entire family can get involved in. If you are confident and take a few lessons, you can drive your own dog sled, powered by a small team of three; but for the children or less confident adults, they can ride with a professional guide. A guide will be able to point out all the attractions and features of the local area and also introduce you to some of the wildlife you may encounter.
Ice Skating, Sledding and Other Activities
Even for the most demanding youngsters saying in local chalets, La Tania offers an excellent variety of fun activities. Younger children may enjoy an afternoon ice skating at the local rink or tobogganing in any one of a number of different venues. There are several excellent parks where the tobogganing tracks are suited for everyone from the youngest child to adrenaline-seeking teenagers. It's a great family bonding activity.
